Conference Topics

The conference will address all problems relevant to both physical concepts and technological aspects of practical implementation of electromagnetic measurement techniques for determining the amount of water in moist substances (Microwave Aquametry), and the electromagnetic properties of materials. The conference will concentrate on, but is not limited to the following subjects:

  1. Dielectric properties of water with various degrees of binding.
  2. Dielectric relaxation properties of water in biological substances and tissues.
  3. Electromagnetic properties of materials.
  4. Applications of electromagnetic mixing rules and formulas.
  5. Electromagnetic wave propagation in lossy dielectrics related to sensors.
  6. Electromagnetic sensors in time- and frequency domain for moisture content determination in solids and liquids.
  7. Applications in process and civil engineering, chemical, pharmaceutical, medicine, oil or coal industry,  and others.
  8. Static and dynamic moisture content determination in agricultural products.
  9. Moisture content determination in soil, snow and waste disposals.
  10. Metrological basis for multi-parameter moisture content measurements.
  11. Electromagnetic determination of properties such as density, mass, consistency, concentration of composites, quality, and authenticity of foodstuffs etc.
  12. Microwave dielectric spectrometry.
  13. Standardisation of measuring methods.

Tuesday, May 31 Evening: Formal session (Banquett) on the Leuchtenburg

Our formal session (social evening) is going to take place at the old medieval castle "Leuchtenburg". During our coach trip there you will enjoy the wonderful surroundings of the river Saale valley. The castle is situated near the town of Jena.

www.Neuland-zeitreisen.de

For more information on "Leuchtenburg", please, visit : www.museum-leuchtenburg.de A guide is going to show us round the castle museum and we will see behind the curtain of medieval people's life. After that we are having a festive banquet in the restaurant "Burgschänke" . The banquet includes special Thuringian dishes (some of them are made of lamb). And you will be surprised by historical music and entertainment. We are looking forward to having a marvellous evening together.
